A Bit of Randomness

Most people go through life dreading they'll have a traumatic experience. Freaks were born with their trauma. They've already passed their test in life. They're aristocrats. --Diane Arbus

Button Pushing

Wow.

She's 9 1/2 months old yet she's figured out how to push my buttons already. Yeah, I know it's not that hard but I was very suprised to find myself getting really, really annoyed at her.

Mind you, the fact that the humidity level is currently 95% isn't helping at all.

But during breakfast today, she figured out that the top rung of her chair was a bit loose. So she started reaching back to jiggle it. I stopped her several times and she eventually ceased.

Then came dinner.

We were trying new foods, which was an adventure in and of itself. But then came the taking said food and dropping it behind her. Which made her remember that the top rung was loose. Which made her start reaching back and playing with it. Which made me really annoyed as it became loose enough that her finger could possibly get stuck.

*sigh*

Dinner stopped, Dylan came out of the chair and her booster seat got moved to a completely different chair. At which point Eric came in and simply tightened all the chair, um, parts.

That would have helped immensely had it occured to me. Much more effective than repeatedly moving Dylan's hand and saying, "no". Ah well. Live and learn...
