Musings on a Sunday Afternoon

In the world of Things That Are Just Wrong are three new commercials:

1. The Verizon commercial that uses Jimi Hendrix's Fire
2. The Wendy's commercial that uses the Violent Femme's Blister in the Sun
3. The Sara Lee commercial that uses Ren & Stimpy's Happy Happy Joy Joy

Not right. Not at all. And there's nothing anyone can say that can convince me otherwise.

In case anyone is looking for a really, really effective appetite suppressant, may I suggest dining with a chatty toddler? Yech...

While the snow is quite pretty with the sun all sparkly and glinty...I find myself missing the long walks Dylan and I used to take. I'm very much looking forward to Spring

I am experimenting with giving up chocolate (hey...I said "experimenting"). For the past week or so I've been beyond cranky, having trouble sleeping and just not feeling right. As, among other things that are completely out of my control, I've been eating quite a bit more chocolate than usual I figure I can start with this to see if it makes any impact.

Why is it so damn hard to do something that not only is good for you but you *know* you enjoy???
