There's an anthology opening up to submissions May 1st and I want in like I've never wanted anything in my life. It's a respectable anthology run by a respectable publisher owned by respectable people.

Word has it that they had over 700 submissions for their last anthology. Where does that leave me? Nervous, I guess. So much talent (mixed in with the hopefuls) that I must push aside if I am to make it in. Can I do it? We shall see.

My sons are both in baseball and I must say that I am exhausted. There is just so much to do on a daily basis that I literally fall into my bed at bedtime. Between the part-time job, mother-in-law woes, daily chores, baseball practice and games, writing, home-schooling and all the 100 little things that a woman does but is rarely noticed, I'm wearing out. I'll be 42 on June 1st (God willing) and feel much older.

I guess I'd make this journal entry longer but the dryer buzzer just went off.

Sigh.
