Probably the only vaguely interesting thing about me is that with my wife, Mary Reed, I co-author the John the Eunuch mystery series set in sixth century Constantinople. But that doesn't stop me from dwelling here on the boring minutiae of the rest of my life, present and past, along with the occasional word about writing.

On Subscribing
Just like that I have a subscriber to the blog. My wife.
It was easy.
"How would you like to subscribe to my blog?" I asked her.
Well, what could she say?
"Oh, come on," I said. "If you don't like it you can unsubscribe."
I'm not sure about this subscribing feature. If anyone subscribes I'll feel like I have to post entries. Or maybe I won't want to post entries for fear of annoying them.
This will probably annoy Mary.
The tribulations of the introverted writer. He wants an audience but is afraid of it.
