Probably the only vaguely interesting thing about me is that with my wife, Mary Reed, I co-author the John the Eunuch mystery series set in sixth century Constantinople. But that doesn't stop me from dwelling here on the boring minutiae of the rest of my life, present and past, along with the occasional word about writing.

Crass Consciousness
I took the thumbnails of our book covers down but the page looked so bare I put them back up. I was worried it might seem crass greeting blog readers with book covers. If Keith Snyder and S.J. Rozan don't picture their novels on their JournalScape journals who am I to do so? I like the look of the books lined up. Maybe it's like having books on a shelf, beside the computer, to prove it's possible to write another one, no matter unlikely it seems at the time. Besides, on the journal template that space is titled "The History of Me" and what the heck else am I going to put there?
