Eric Mayer Byzantine Blog Probably the only vaguely interesting thing about me is that with my wife, Mary Reed, I co-author the John the Eunuch mystery series set in sixth century Constantinople. But that doesn't stop me from dwelling here on the boring minutiae of the rest of my life, present and past, along with the occasional word about writing. |

2004-01-11 11:15 AM Something About Science Fiction The new issue of the science fiction newszine Ansible mentions this
freebie:--"...an sf-themed 2004 calendar , a 550K PDF
download from `Capt.
Xerox', each month titivated with a garish pulp cover and a selection of
famous sf birthdays. "
The site's a blog with a listing of other sf blogs, including those of writers. Locus Online looks particularly interesting with lots of news from the sf publishing world. I think even more people write sf than mysteries. I was suprised to see Mary and I had found our way into The Locus Index to Science Fiction: Site Directory under the "Mystery Short Fiction: 1990-2003" category. As a kid I always dreamed I'd grow up to be an sf writer. So I'm rubbing shoulders with them in cyberspace. Cool! By the way, the index appears to be an exhaustive bibliography of sceince fiction published during the past few decades, both books and short stories. All in all, a terrific reference resource for a couple genres. Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
