Eric Mayer Byzantine Blog Probably the only vaguely interesting thing about me is that with my wife, Mary Reed, I co-author the John the Eunuch mystery series set in sixth century Constantinople. But that doesn't stop me from dwelling here on the boring minutiae of the rest of my life, present and past, along with the occasional word about writing. |

2004-03-31 1:52 PM If in the News For my New Year's Resolution I promise myself to update my blog regularly. Yes, I realize that is a very tardy New Year's Resolution but it pretty much sums things up doesn't it?
One of my obscure interests, along with orienteering, is interactive fiction, often referred to as If. (Historical mysteries set in the days of the Byzantine Roman Empire strike me as practically mainstream....) I was recently quoted in an article about If in Australian IT. In Harking Back to Good Old Texts Anthony Fordham does a nice job of explaining just what the heck these anachronistic computer text adventures are all about. He also quotes Dennis Jerz , a more dependable blogger than yours truly! Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
