Blast From My Comics Past

A few days ago I heard from artist/cartoonist Mark Martin for the first time in years. Somebody at the Comics Journal Board was wondering about Mark, who promptly popped into view (funny how that happens in cyberspace) and then the jam mini comic we did got mentioned. Check out Get Bent! Online to see a page.

That's Mark's page, by the way. If it were mine I would be doing comics not books. Mark kindly says:

"Why Me?" was pretty good, but failed to live up to the greatness two decent cartoonists like me and Eric should have achieved.

Well. he's kind of right...let's put it this way - if you add my cartooning talent to Mark's, on average we're "decent." Which just proves how good Mark is. I mean to say, Ben would've scanned one of my pages except he didn't want to break the internet. It was fun though and didn't end as horribly as the time I tried to do a six hour orienteering ROGAINE with a guy who was still running 17 minute 5ks in his forties.

Here is Mark's website.

Here are his comments about "Why Me?" But, most importantly check out the links he includes for a look at some pages from his new comic book:
