Eric Mayer Byzantine Blog Probably the only vaguely interesting thing about me is that with my wife, Mary Reed, I co-author the John the Eunuch mystery series set in sixth century Constantinople. But that doesn't stop me from dwelling here on the boring minutiae of the rest of my life, present and past, along with the occasional word about writing. |

2006-01-23 4:17 PM Habits Meme OK. netter tagged me on this.
The Rules: The first player of this game starts with the topic "five weird habits" and people who get tagged need to write an entry about their five weird habits as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next five people to be tagged and link to their web journals. Don't forget to leave a comment in their blog or journal that says "You have been tagged" (assuming they take comments) and tell them to read yours. Probably the weirdest habits are ones I won't think of right away because they're so ingrained I don't even notice. I get my hair cut twice a year, in the spring and the fall. When I have to stand for long I tend to put one foot up against my knee and stand on one leg. (I force myself not to do this in public) I like to make lists of when groceries are purchased and how much was spent. When eating a meal the various food items should be consumed in an orderly fashion until there's a single forkfull of each remaining with the favorite being consumed last. If Mary or I say "Whipple" the cat's front paws must be lifted. (It's had to explain...) I'm too shy to tag people so, like Barbara Klaser I'm gonna be bad and break the rules and just invite anyone so inclined to continue the meme.
