Went to go see Reverend Horton Heat last night down at 123 Pleasant Street. They rocked, no pun intended. "The Reverend" is named Jim, shook my hand, refused my whiskey, explained how he had to stay away from the good Irish stuff and stick to the German stuff for the sake of his health. He also made some comment about the dangers of redheads, but he was distracted by women trying to get him to sign their breasts. The funniest part of that being that he not only refused, but he *blushed*.

It was a lot of fun. Especially to have the band essentially hang out for about half an hour afterward and drink with us.

Jim wouldn't let us buy him drinks. He said he could drink for free, we should save our money. I think Brian managed to buy drinks for the other band members, though.

Brian will be playing down at McClafferty's on Saturday, so Sean and I are planning to go down and support his new band (c'mon, $3 at the door). They don't really have a name yet--he said that last time they played they were "Judge Porterfield and the Well-hung Jury" but that they'll come up with something else for this time. I suggested "Only Our Moms Like Us" which he got sort of a kick out of--deciding the first album would need to be "Only My Mom Bought This."

Ah well. I shall make cucumber soup now. Argggh, and get Wheaten out of the trash!!!!! Bad cat!!
