don't let it snow!

Well, it did snow yesterday, for a while, but the ground was warm enough that nothing stuck, thank goodness. I'm really not a fan of winter, and having it be in the 30's at the moment does not make me happy. Brrr.

And traffic this evening is awful. I think that people were already coming in for the was noon now 7pm Pitt game tomorrow--the schedule was only changed a week ago, and I'm guessing that with our exciting Miami and VA Tech games that people wanted to see if we knocked Pitt off their game.

At any rate, traffic was bad, and the game tomorrow is the best excuse I've got for it.

I hear there are 40 students being held for disciplinary action by the University for inappropriate behavior surrounding the VA Tech game. I've also heard that the disciplinary action will be expulsion. The stadium has been fitted with $15,000 collapsible goal posts, and it has been made very clear that no one from the stands is allowed on the field. We'll see how that works out.

Keeping in mind that all I hear is news from the mouths of others, I've also heard that two players on the football team were convicted of being the aggressors in a nasty bar fight, I believe in the ruckus following the VA Tech game. But not only is the University not punishing them in any way, they're not even being suspended for a game or two by the coach.

Huh.

Nothing really exciting or new to report. I am still escaping reality by hoping I can do a part-time minimum wage job, part time legal stuff on my own, and writing to pay the bills. The whole waiting factor involved in selling writing may be the end of that plan, as well as the not really being able to do part time legal stuff on my own, but we'll see.

I've also been considering doing some interesting poetry-based wall art--you know, a poem written in a beautiful script, some art, or dried flowers, or photos to go alongside... It's a concept in progress, but it might be interesting. (But then, once you've created it where do you sell it?)

Brainstorming creative solutions to money problems. Yep. We didn't say viable solutions.

Brr. It's cold out there.
