rainy day (blues)

Well, it's raining outside again. At least it's not freezing--it's supposed to be hitting the 60's again today. I spent most of yesterday sleeping and then organizing, which I intend to do more of today (er, the organizing bit--I'm probably done sleeping today, though I may opt for an early bedtime tonight). Still tired from the weekend, I guess.

There are all kinds of rainy day associations today, mostly the ones about cleaning and clearing the way for flowers, but also the sad rainy day blues associations. One thing is a mix of both: Amy is leaving the country, though to be entirely accurate she leaves tomorrow. She's flitting off to Switzerland to work for Kate Michaels, who I don't know much about, so you'll need to visit the website if you're curious. Amy thinks she'll be gone about six months. I'll post a link to her Switzerland journal when she gets it set up, and even though I don't get to see her that often anymore, I'll miss her.

On the creative front, I sold a piece of cover art to Aoife's Kiss. I'm pretty proud of it, and will of course post it when it goes public--maybe not until September. That's the only bad thing about publishing something--the (usually long) wait to get to see it!

It was a slow weekend for work--I worked both Friday and Saturday nights, but didn't make much money. (Saturday night I made a whopping $1.50.) There wasn't much call for back-up--I figure a lot of people were gone for the holiday. (Speaking of which, Happy Zombie Jesus Day! to you lot as well.) It was a pretty slow day at the comic shop on Sunday too, though we had about ten people who were there the whole day for the HeroClix tournaments.

Friday night was fun because Hogblast was playing, with a band from Fairmont called Livid and another local band called Babyhed. I got to sit and make fun of the music with Dan and Ben, which I haven't gotten to do for a while (mostly because Dan seldom goes out anymore, though I got the impression that was going to change.)

That's it for the haze of my life for the moment. How are you this rainy rainy Tuesday?
