It's about 75 degrees outside. The windows are open. Pork chops are marinating in apple cider in my refrigerator (I put some thyme, the teeniest bit of rosemary, and some garlic powder in with the cider--I'm considering adding some garlic chunks). Experimental dinner preparations are underway--I'll let you all know how it works out. Mom should be here around 6-6:30. I'm going down to Pug's to pick up some tiramisu (nothing beats Puglioni's tiramisu, we're not even gonna try). I bought a wheel of brie, which I think I'm going to slice up and put over apples, and bake until the cheese starts to brown. The only thing missing is really good crusty bread, but hey, we all have to make sacrifices.

Sunday was lovely. We watched lots of cartoons, I got to serve several bloody marys (though most of them weren't bloody marys, but bloody marias and what not). Still much bloody mary mix was served, a Guiness keg was kicked, and while it was super slow in the middle of the evening, the beginning and end saw many happy drinkers.

Yesterday I slept. I mean I didn't go anywhere. It was wonderful. Today, I've been up and to the store and am cooking and doing all sorts of wonderful things. And watching the Simpsons. Now, I must go to fetch tiramisu.

If you'll excuse me :)

Oh, and p.s., as Heather reminded me, Happy Stoner's New Year!!!
