Reading: _Sophie's World_ (Hard to do since I'm hypomanic and can't sit still, let alone read; I can hardly eat as I'm too impatient to chew.)

Weather: cooling off, I hope, but it's still warm in this office with the two computers, and too little ventilation in spite of the fans.

The ferret is: on the porch cooling off while sleeping in her hammock.

I'm getting better now, but I've been feeling creepy-crawly for a couple of weeks. I just cannot get comfortable. Cant' sit still, can't concentrate. My head feels too big for my neck. My clothes constrict me, but so does the chair or couch if I take them all off. Can't do that at work, and I had to go back to work Tuesday after the holiday and vacation were over.

Vacation is a funny word. What if you don't go anywhere on your vacation and stay home and read all week? Then is it still a vacation, since you
haven't vacated anything?

Another worfd that bugs me is invalid, as in, "Julie broke her femur as a toddler and lived as an invalid." It is the same word, to all appearances, though not pronunciation, as invalid, meaning something is not true, or not useful, or not applicable. As in, "the data was invalid." (Data is another word that bugs me. Everyone uses it as a singular when it is plural for datum.) So. Is an invalid invalid? I dont' like it. Good thing it's not in use so much as it once was. That'd bug me more.
