Sebastian's bite

The ferrets are: eating after a hard evening of running around and swimming with Gregg. Tazo jumped into the tub with him, then Sally jumped in. Tazo jumped back out, sopping wet, and rolled and scooted in the dirty laundry to dry off. Sally made a more dignified exit with me asissting, then rolled and scooted likewise. They woke up Sebastian, their new brother, who then asked to get in the tub, too.

Weather: January

Reading: Singularity Sky, Charles Stross, the jacket of which touts it as innovative and such but it sure does read like space opera. And no, I am not saying that as if it were a bad thing. But innovative? Nah.

Listening to in the car: St. Maybe, Anne Tyler

Sebastian bit Gregg a few times. Tonight he bit his hand and drew blood. Naturally he scruffs him and tells him "NO." Sebastian has been told about this before, we can tell because he tries to get away when he does it. But why he does it we do not know. It is not when he is getting petted or carried. It's not when he is rudely awakened or frightened. It's strange, and it hurts, I imagine. He hasn't bitten me, and I am kind of leery of him. I don't like pain. He is a nice ferret, mainly. This makes no sense. I wrote a note to his former owner to see whether she might have hints for us.

Gregg holds Sebastian, and he likes to cuddle, so I wonder if he's trying to get attention? If so, he is going about it the wrong way.
