The ferrets are: playing with Gregg

Weather: beautiful with fluffy clouds

Reading: romances

Knitting: a green cardigan for me

Last night I re-read a novel I wrote a few years ago, one that didn't get published. It had some neat things in it, mostly dialog that I liked, but mostly it just sucked. I am gearing up for novel-writing and reading a lot of romances in preparation. I love those happy endings, and I especially like writing science fiction and fantasy combined with romance. It's time to get back in the saddle. I was re-reading that story just beacuse I wanted to, mainly, but I was thinking in the back of my tiny head that I might do something with the story. Ha. I like the situation that I put in in another version of that story, but this one as it is has virtually no merit. Alas.

Actually, it does have merit. It helped me to learn to write. So nothing was lost.

Did the taxes tonight, mostly. I have to ferret out a few more receipts, it seems. All that mortgage interest and we still owe. It comes with losing a dependent, and I did not adjust my withholding enough. It's very close, though. At least the darned governments didn't have our money all year without paying us interest. I say governments since the state we live in charges p-lenty of income tax. And I don't even work in the state. It matters not, since I live here, I "get" to pay.
