There is nothing to read here. The content is over there, to your right.

I may, however, at some point, put something here. Some day. Eventually. No pressure.

thar be giants!

When I met my brother-in-law-to-be 14 years ago, he was an intelligent, pudgy, amusing but highly annoying 12 year old. I was 17, we were the same height and I spent a great deal of time helping him with his French homework and teasing him like an older sister should. In return he was teaching me how to cuss in Russian and vowing to never date short blondes.

Fast forward to last night/this morning: he had taken the kids to K-Days and stopped in for a glass of water. I'm not going to get into the subject of the arguement we started (continued, really - it's been an ongoing disagreement for about 8 yrs now; amuses the hell out of the rest of the family) when he said something so ignorant, I choked on my wine. Normally, I'm just quietly caustic with my insults but it wasn't only what he said, it was that he said it in front of my kids.. so I *cough* reacted.

5 words into my spiel and M. has ushered the kids to bed. Brother-in-law is casually leaning against the kitchen counter, legs crossed at ankles, arms crossed in front of chest and, get this, he's grinning.

argh.

I'm not a screaming, hollering type when I get angry. I've inherited my father's very low, very clipped and probably over-enunciated type of vocalization when p.o'd. So there I am, all towering 5'4" of me standing on my tiptoes to make sure the 6'3" gym-rat prettyboy manwhore posing in front of me can't break eye contact.

And he's grinning.

*hiss* *spit*

hook-line-and sinker. Bait, much? Bastard.

He had the courtesy to wait until I was done and then he (I still can't believe he did this, patronizing dork) chuckled, kissed me on the top of my head said he was going to miss me the most when we move and then he left!! Just waltzed out the door like .. well, like he'd just seen an amusing performance.

*ahem* *retracts claws*

Next time, he loses a kneecap.

And like hell if I'll admit to missing him too. Muchly.

.dar.
