There is nothing to read here. The content is over there, to your right.

I may, however, at some point, put something here. Some day. Eventually. No pressure.

not a whine, dammit!!

860km to go. That's it, that's all. One trip there, one trip back, and ta da! Finito.

I am ecstatic - you just can't tell because I'm too tired to go beyond "yay."

My advice to potential movers:
1.) move only one household at a time. moving 2 and a half homes' worth of furniture, clothing, kibble, etc. all at once is a bad idea. Especially when the only available vehicles are a 26 foot truck and a 5 x 8 trailer.

2.) never move a shop. meaning, if you run a home-based business that requires many computers, tools and assorted hardware and crap that weighs just less than a metric tonne, leave it. Sell it, pawn it, throw it away. Your wife will thank you.

3.) if you decide to rent the place you are leaving, do not allow the tenants to have a move-in day only 2 days after you have vacated the place. you can not believe how much time plastering, sanding, priming, painting and yard work takes, particularly when trying to deal with above points 1 and 2.

4.) at all times, keep kids muzzled. They may be fed and watered once a day, otherwise, pack them in the truck first. if need be, this may be applied to the husband as well.

trust me.

*sigh*

Beth I hear you calling...
