There is nothing to read here. The content is over there, to your right.

I may, however, at some point, put something here. Some day. Eventually. No pressure.

day off

Due to ill teenager, I get to spend the day at home.

Not that that's a huge thing - I actually haven't had to work since the middle of December when my mom-in-law came to stay with us. Today we were to do end of year inventory which would be accomplished sooner with all three of us. (Un)Fortunately, just as we were walking out the door the boy called from school, trying to keep his breakfast in his stomach and losing the battle.

SO now I'm thinking the tree will come down today.

And the laundry will get done as well as some serious reorganization of the war room*. Piled with boxes and gift bags that have been tossed in there just to get them out of the way, I can't even get to the back shelves.

*editor's note: the 'war room' is a closet that for some inexplicable reason the previous owners have tacked up a huge white board/calendar inside. An awkward place to keep track of anything, we declared the room the 'war room' in jest, assuming that perhaps very secret and very cunning plans to take over the world were hatched in there. Sadly, as the white board goes all the way up to the ceiling, any devious Darwin World Domination schemes have to take place after the month of August as I can't reach any higher than that on the calendar.

Oh, and at some point I'll be sure to tend for and take care of the boy-sickling.

I love days off.
