didn't know I had muscles there

You know you're old when it's made painfully (literally) obvious to you that spring cleaning is an activity that requires stretching before and after.

Who knew?

Perhaps I would have made this discovery last year if I had not been in the process of packing everything up for the move. I cleaned, wrapped, stuffed into boxes and went for a smoke. (Well, a coffee. At this time last year I had quit smoking.) The evident conclusion to be made from this is that the physical pain comes not from the cleaning, but from the putting back of said cleaned item.

And moving bookshelves and sofa beds probably didn't help.

It's snowing.

Non sequitur aside, I'm taking it easy today.

Huzzah for caffeine.
