There is nothing to read here. The content is over there, to your right.

I may, however, at some point, put something here. Some day. Eventually. No pressure.

you know you're old when...

you're ready for bed before the kids are. The fact that I was sound asleep a good half hour before the spawn even touched their beds is just one of the many reasons as to why I'm grateful for not being a single parent.

Three times in the past week I have been asked what I want for Christmas. I repeated my wish list from the previous few years - one of these times I'll actually get what I asked for.

I could understand it better if my list was full of luxury items, stuff that cost major moolah. What boggles my mind is that the things I actually DO receive (but did not request) cost much more than the things I asked for. i.e.: I always want art supplies - inks, paints, charcoals, sketch pads, etc... last year I got a cashmere sweater and a pair of diamond stud earrings. ??

It's the thought that counts and I'm always touched by the generous spirit of the people in my life. But. If one is going to bother asking, then one ought to consider listening.

You know?

Evolution is a scientific theory. Intelligent design is a theory. Gravity is a scientific theory. Iraq owned WMD is a theory.

There is a difference.

Some things should be presented in a school Science class. Others should be debated in a school Social Studies class.

Because. There. Is. A. Difference.

You know?

Speaking of the theory of intelligence, Bush will be visiting Canada soon.

Debating homosexual marriage in an online forum. Again. (Will I ever learn?) Gender recognition, kids. Get over yourselves and over your trucks-for-boys-dolls-for-girls blue/pink abstract biases.
