So, after several weeks of Tim saying stuff like, "Man, you need a sale. You should query Realms; we need the money" etc, I finally broke down and emailed Shawna. I submitted the story back in mid-July and I know from Carina that it went to Shawna back in October. Being a pathetic rejectomancer, I have noted that Tim's story, sent about the same time in October, has sold. I have also noted that stories sent well after mine have been rejected or sold to Realms. I have been biting my nails (not literally) about this story for several months now.

After a bit of back and forth, Shawna found the story and will get to it this week. Meeeep!

I suppose I waited this long, I can make it through this week. I am very much hoping, though, that she reads it and likes it and, you know, buys it. But in any case, I'm glad I finally let myself query her. The waiting will be over soon.

So, the weekend is nearly over and once again I'm sort of wondering where it went. Mostly, I shopped and cleaned a bit. I tried to read a book that isn't coming out until June, but it soon became apparent I wouldn't finish it in time to go back on Monday, so I gave up. Tim and I had a nice date night last night -- ate take-out from Barney's, watched American Splendor and frollicked. Today we saw Kill Bill vol. 2, which was a satisfying movie and worth sitting on the barely cushioned Grand Lake theatre seats for.

Target is dangerous, though. I spent so long shopping in there yesterday my feet hurt when I was done. And I was quite a bit poorer. I could barely walk last night.

Anyway, I'm not really doing much here other than babbling, so I'm gonna sign off. Ciao!
