Meme du Jour

1.What is your idea of perfect happiness?
At my age? A tiny life with parcels of simplicity. Ordinary days that come full circle with a good night’s sleep.

2.What is your greatest fear?
Loneliness.

3.What vehicles do you own?
2000 black Acura

4.What is your greatest extravagance?
Time.

Social smoker. I swear I’m gonna quit!

6.What is your most treasured possession?
My art collection and the passion it evokes – a smile, a tear or a sigh.

7.Where would you like to live?
Sewanee, Tennessee

8.What makes you depressed?
Conflict.

9.What do you most dislike about your appearance?
My hips – only because I can’t see my ass.

10.Who would play you in a movie of your life?
I haven’t a clue, but one of my favorite actresses is Janeane Garofalo.

11.What is your favorite smell?
Cut grass among many others. Artificial scent would be "First" by Van Cleef & Arpels.

12.What is your favorite word?
Butterfly is beautiful in any language.

13.What is your guiltiest pleasure?
Writing and painting – it’s all about me, me, me.

14.What, or who, is the greatest love of your life?
My children.

15.What is your greatest regret?
Too many to list.

16.What single thing would improve the quality of your life?
Balance. I’m still looking for a plan in life. Is it ever too late?

17.What keeps you awake at night?
Worries. Or the ‘what ifs.’

18.What song would you like played at your funeral?
Okay. Get out the barf bags. “She’s a Lady” by Tom Jones. It’s all about self-perception and I like the lyrics.

19.How would you like to be remembered?
As someone who meant well, who tried, and will be handed a generous nod of forgiveness in remembrance.
