2008-02-19 10:25 AM Kindness Mea Culpa, I’ve stolen this from TK’s site and hope he doesn’t mind.
*************************************************************** Mistrust is a dreadful feeling, especially mistrust of the media which provides me with information to form opinions. So I try to educte myself via numerous venues. I’ve recently read three books, two were fact based fiction and one was non-fiction. I’ve read the two popular books by Khaled Hosseini – “The Kite Runner” and “A Thousand Splendid Suns”, which focus on Afghanistan. Greg Mortenson’s book “Three Cups of Tea” should be required reading for all peoples. It recounts his arduous journey over many years to provide schools and education for Muslim youth in small Pakistani villages. His goal was to build one school. At the book's publishing date, I believe 50+ schools had been built. He continues to courageously build amidst grave peril, and as fast as he’s building schools, so are the Taliban. The story is riveting… and true! Anyway, below is the video I *stole* from TK’s site. Good God, I have posted three videos in a row, which is highly unusual. :) I love the *Bubble* I live in on the mountain, but know that too often the world is bereft of the kindness I luxuriate in every day. Kindness… we need more. Spread the word. Read/Post Comments (5) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
