The following has become my anthem.

I was off the mountain this afternoon and as I was driving home in the utter and desolate dark and navigating the curves and loops and keeping at bay my apprehensions of driving up a mountain in the utter and desolate dark, this song came on and sustained me and gave me big smiles and reaffirmed an abiding hope and illuminated a safe journey.

Some back story: I have a friend who is leaving his life of 30+ years in Southern, CA to move to the mountain. You all might be wondering as I did, what took him so long! Not to move near me, but to leave CA? (Kinda just kidding - I still love Laguna Beach.)

Anyway, he approached me with the concept, "You shouldn't be doing this alone." He offered/insisted without even hearing me whine!

There is no reason in the universe for you all to know this, but I have amazing friends and the most amazing angels in my life. People from around the globe have offered to put their lives on hold to come to tiny Monteagle, TN to be my angels. Most cruise ships have a larger population than Monteagle! (Patsy, this doesn't get you off the hook. Lol.)

I love my life and love my friends even more. I am one lucky woman!
