Homecoming Part 2

So, just when I thought life couldn't get any better... well, it didn't, but it came darn close.

Last night as I stretched awake from my 2-hour feathery blissed-out nap, I heard a tap at the door that separates my home to the downstairs apartment. It was Sanssouci's brother & sister-in-law.

Here's the must-read link that will explain who Sanssouci is and the quirky marvel of my life's itinerary. It was written when I started my pet sitting business called Purrs & Wags.

I wrote that journal post in 2007. Since then, Sanssouci has become one of my favorite people on the mountain. As alien as her viewpoints on life seem to be to mine, I adore her open willingness to love everyone... including aliens from other planets. After all, she is a bonafide Ambassador. I'm not the only one to adore Sanssouci. Everyone does... even if she believes Atlantis is nestled someplace in Mt. Shasta. Hey, my life has been the Crazy Town Express. Who am I to judge?

So, that was part two of my Homecoming evening - meeting Sanssouci's brother and sister-in-law. Several months ago when I knew they were looking for a place to stay, I offered one of my apartments. I'd do just about anything for Sanssouci and sensed I'd enjoy anyone related to her.

We three gathered in my living room with cocktails, and became acquainted. We also regaled stories of Sanssouci - laughed ourselves silly - mind you, not unkind laughter, but laughter of appreciation for knowing and loving her as unconditionally as she does us.

After our visit, my new friends left for university Homecoming festivities. I returned to my feathery temple of divine respite. After twelve hours of uninterrupted sleep, I now post these thoughts that well & radiate from within with such gratitude.
