I giggled a bit when my friend Bex at Journalscape put out a call for decor opinions. She lives in Massachusetts in a precious cape cod with two precious dogs and a precious husband who is a seafaring lobsterman. It's all just almost too storybook perfect to believe, but it's all true. Anyway, she recently rearranged her home to create a reading room (yeah, I hang out only with the best). After rearranging her furniture, she started to consider acquiring new comfy chairs to add to the inviting new arrangement.

I giggled because I, too, am coming closer to making some decor changes in my home... the type of changes that would never inspire one to ask for my advice on a-n-y-t-h-I-n-g.

Below are samples I recently received from the carpet manufacturer. Believe it or not, the name of the company is Joy Carpets. Isn't that perfect! They specialize in fun and funky patterns.

I recently attended a beautiful event that benefitted a local no-kill animal shelter - Franklin Country Animal Harbor. A realtor friend of mine was in attendance and I told her about my plans, describing the carpet. Mind you, she's a realtor, and it's not that she said *peep* about my choice... but I burst into laughter and told her that resale was the last thing on my mind these days.

I'm not looking for advice here, nor am I going to divulge the color I've chosen. There are so few surprises left in life... this will be one.
