Mood:
So-So

Well, yesterday I interviewed with a small company looking for a Foxpro developer. I thought the interview went well, but unfortunately they found someone else.

Neely still hasn't been able to get ahold of Veda from Earthlink as far as I can tell. That's just no fun at all for me, because I'd really like to know whether I can keep counting that chicken before it hatches.

Other than that things are going well. I'm working with VC++ a bit now that I've got my UML knowledge pretty much down, at least as far as theory goes. I'm starting to map out an application to use for posting journals here. We'll see how it goes.

Hopefully i'll be able to start selling applications once I've got VC++ and Palm Programming a little more pat down. Possibly shareware, or something like that. It would be a nice supplemental income if nothing else.

I finished reading "Burnt Offerings" by Laurel K. Hamilton. Kinda dissapointing after the previous books in the series. Anita just seems to be losing her edge, becoming more rounded, and less aggressive. Rounded characters just aren't quite as interesting to read about. It's a maxim for both "trash fiction" and "true literature". I mean, Great Expectations wouldnt' have been interesting at all if it weren't for the horrible eccentricites of the characters. And what would Moby Dick have been with out the obsessive Ahab? Normal is boring. Nobody wants to read about boring, even if it does provide insight into the human soul.

Of course, back to "Burnt offerings", how normal can you be when you're dating a vampire, you raise zombies for a living, and you're the human leader of a pack of Werewolves?

Ah well, I need to get to sleep, because I know Guy is going to be pissing his pants in the morning that I didn't call him at all today.
