Me, of course, thinking this 4 year old needs to be put in her place said, "OK, how many inches are in a foot?" and she promptly responded "12"...ok, that was a lucky guess, I thought. So I proceeded, "how many feet are in a yard?" (something I'm sure I still have to think about hard...where's the metric system when you need it?) and she quickly responded "3".
