I'm currently listening to Sheryl Crow's new album, C'mon, C'mon, which just came out today. If you haven't heard the first single off the album, "Soak Up the Sun," as you are probably hiding in a cave under a rock with your fingers in your ears, you simply must buy this album. It's Crow's strongest to date, with guest appearances by Liz Phair, Lenny Kravitz, Don Henley, Stevie Nicks, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Emmylou Harris. I absolutely love the first song on the album, "Steve McQueen," which has some great stuff going on, including a few Steve Miller-ish "woo woo"s in the chorus. It's a good solid rock n' roll album, and you should buy it, and buy a copy for all your friends.

And I'm currently reading Brittle Innings by Michael Bishop, father of my good friend Jamie Bishop. I'm about halfway through so far, and it's a great story. I'm definitely getting Michael to sign it when he comes to Trinoc-con this year. It's a great baseball novel that takes place during World War II, and it's about a mute shortstop who befriends Frankenstein's monster, who goes by the name "Jumbo" Henry Clerval and plays first base better than anyone around. I had to go through an Amazon.com z-shop to get this book, since it's been out of print for a few years, but it was worth it.

Sneezes and coughs to you all. I'm going to bed.
