I also read "Old Women" this weekend, the first story in M. John Harrison's latest short story collection, Travel Arrangements, published by Gollancz. And after reading that one story, I've decided to take the collection with me to Clarion as my alternative to reading my colleagues' stories endlessly for six weeks. They recommend a collection by your favorite author, but my copy of Smoke and Mirrors by Neil Gaiman is signed and my copy of The Panic Hand by Jonathan Carroll was rather hard to come by, and I would hate to misplace either or them. So the Harrison's coming with me.
