I just got back from the movie night in Terry Bisson's room, and I was so excited I had to add another journal entry for today. We saw Being There, a movie that came out in the late 70s, with Shirley MacLaine, Richard Dysart, and a wonderfully understated Peter Sellers. This was a brilliant movie, with great acting, fantastic directing, beautiful cinematography, and phenomenal storytelling. If you haven't yet see this film, what are you waiting for? Go bug the employees at Blockbuster until you find a copy. This is a movie I probably would have never seen normally, and I am so glad I was introduced to it tonight. It's one of those movies that leaves you breathless, and when you're able to speak again, the only thing that comes out of your mouth is "Wow." Stories like this are the reason why I became a writer.
