This weekend was rather boring, but extremely productive. I finally went through all the Clarion manuscripts for my story "One Less" (which used to be just called "One"), and revised the crap out of the story. I cut the length from 3600 words to 3400, while making some major changes to the plot. I'm extremely happy with the way it turned out, and I'm going to email Janet a copy to look over once she wakes up (she's 12 hours ahead of me, so it's only 7:15 on Monday morning for her). I may email it to the Clarion group, or I may not. I hate workshopping a story to a bunch of people over and over, but I think Janet's an exception. I trust her opinion a whole lot. Plus, she's my girlfriend, and I think it's in the contract that she has to look at my stories. :)

Once I hear back from her, I'm going to include it as my writing sample for grad school, and also send it to Gavin Grant at Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet.

Plus, I got to watch some world class tennis today at the US Open. Sampras and Agassi in the championship; something I thought I'd never see again! Woo!
