Politics frustrates me to death. I'm inundated with negative commercials announcing that someone stole money from their law firm, or voted for a law fifteen years ago and has now changed their mind, or is going to steal money from senior citizens. I hate election time in this country. Eighty percent of the commercials are slander ads. And after two or three or seven weeks of this, I frantically turn the channel whenever one of these stupid ads come on.

Then I watch The West Wing, which I did tonight, written by someone who is intensely interested and fascinated with politics, and I get excited about debates and issues again.

My head hurts.
