Took my car into the Mitsubishi dealership today to get a bunch of stuff done. The left rear brakelight went out a couple of weeks ago, so that had to be replaced. I hit a pothole pretty hard on the way to my parents' for Thanksgiving, and ended up bending the rim, so that had to be banged back straight and the tires were rotated. The rubber pads on the brake and clutch pedals had worn smooth over five and a half years of use, so they were replaced. And I needed an oil change. Reggie the Service Guy noticed while they were working that my brake pads were worn down to the nubs, so those got replaced as well. $274 later and my car is happy and up to spec again. My checking account is wheezing from the sudden expenditure. Oh well, had to be done.

I'm working on "King of the Traffic Lights," which I started at Clarion, for Windhover, NCSU's literary journal. The deadline is Friday, so I want to get it finished by tomorrow night for Janet to take a look at before I turn it in. I got stuck on page 6 last night, though I know what happens next. Grrr... I'll need to get those juices flowing tonight.
