Well, the weathermen delivered this time, and there are about three inches of snow on the ground outside right now. And since there's ice on the roads and my car is only a four-cylinder, I'm having to take a snow day. By 10:30 there were over sixty accidents in the area.

I am snowbound this time, without drafting work to do. So I guess I'll start on the novel outline for my class; I've got five weeks to work on it since I'm one of the last to present theirs, but I'm anxious to start.

And since everything on TV was reruns last night, I put on some Irish music and jammed on chapter 3, slamming down 1500 words and finishing it out in around two hours. So I now have three complete chapters at 18,000 words, plus the prelude, which will undoubtably change once I finish the book. Woo hoo! I'm crankin' now.

I did get two simultaneous rejections from the NCLR yesterday, since I sent them a story and a poem at the same time. Sigh. Ah well.

The flurries are still coming down lightly outside my apartment. Every few minutes, a little fat bird will hop up on my porch and look around before flying away again. I might go out and try to make a snowman later. Yay snow!
