After an intense weekend of doing nothing but work on my novel outline, I just finished it! I got stuck Saturday night and emailed what I had to my dearest, who came back with some fantastic suggestions. Thanks, honey! I just put the finishing touches on it and printed it out. Now it goes into a drawer until tomorrow night, when I'll make any final tweaks and take it to Kinko's to make copies for my class. Once they've looked at it next week (a week from this Wednesday), I'll adjust it if I see things that may work better, then'll hand it to the Cup-a-Prose fellas for the next meeting in March. I hate to do this because it's not a short story, but I want their perspective on it too, since they'll be looking at it from a slightly different slant.

Man, this was one of the most exhausting pieces of writing I've ever done, and damn hard. I'm so glad I'm finished, with the first draft anyway. I'm going to go celebrate by watching the X-Men 1.5 DVD that I got for cheap at Best Buy on Saturday.

I guess snow days (or in this case, ice days) aren't so bad after all.

Yay!
