Janet and I saw Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind last night at our local first-run indie theater, and wow. Kaufmann (Charlie, not Nick) has outdone himself with this one. All the good stuff people have been saying is true. If you haven't seen this film, you really should while it's still in the theaters. Man. I am way impressed.

Today, we, along with my mom, went to Artsplosure, Raleigh's annual arts festival held downtown. They blocked off four streets so that we could freely walk through all the tents. It was a perfect day for it today, not too hot (though we did have to step into the shade or some air conditioning every so often) and the humidity was fairly low. We had a good time looking at the wares of all the participants, seeing not just flat painted art, but also glass paperweights, copper sculpture and these weird Cthulhoid creations made of wood. There was even a performance artist dressed up and powdered to look like a sculpture, and she would change positions every so often while standing on a small pedestal.

While we were in the area, we checked out Killing Modern, the gallery that Scott Eagle currently has at Artspace. We missed him being there last Friday, but he's coming back on June 15 to give a slide lecture, and I'm hoping to make it. Among some very cool paintings was the original that will soon be adorning JeffV's new Golden Gryphon collection Secret Life. Keen and neato.

Okay, here's what you've all been waiting for. After finally looking through all the photos taken by Daniels Photography, we returned the book of proofs this week. We also finally scanned them in. So here is the second set of photos (the first batch were candids), in which we pose and squint and smile until our cheeks hurt. Enjoy!
