And I forgot to mention, I got my hand crushed in an elevator door for about thirty painful seconds before Janet figured out which button would open it again (not the one you would think). Fortunately, I was holding my sunglasses in that hand, so I had a nice eighth-inch inpression in my hand for the rest of that afternoon. But, no broken bones, and I regained use of the hand later that day.

We also went to a monkey forest on Friday, where the monkeys would sit in the middle of the stone path, or walk right by you, or sit on the rock walls eating things. It was weird to be so close to them.

We took a whole bunch of pictures with the digital camera, and I'll be posting some soon.

Thanks for the good wishes, everyone. You can probably tell from my absence in these comments that it hit me pretty hard. I'm feeling much better than I have been, but I still have a ways to go. The apetite is still off on its own little vacation, and even smelling certain food makes me nauseous. The plane trip(s) back yesterday were a nightmare. But now I'm home, and will be making a entry later today after gathering a little more strength.

John Klima's posted the complete issue 5 TOC over at the Velocipede's Nightshade Books discussion area.

Should be cool.

While on a cross-country road trip, I mistakenly ate huevos rancheros at a Texas truck stop with the ominous name of Rip Griffin's. After that, nausea, and Arizona and New Mexico are still a blur for me; all I remember is lolling my head out the window and wishing for a piano or some other large object to drop on me and end the misery. Food poisoning is not the stuff memories are made of, so here's hoping you shake it off as quickly as possible. But hey, that's awesome news about Electric Velocipede!

Sorry to hear about the food poisoning. Try not to let it ruin the rest of your trip.

Luna and I have to find someplace really cool to go one of these years.

Hope the food poisoning clears up quickly & that the rest of the trip goes well.

Cool that you got to see a kecak performance-- I've got a CD of it (or part of it) and all the overlapping chanting is great stuff, but imagine there's a lot more to it live.

Ugh. Food poisoning while vacationing is the pits, Jason. I've been there. (Twice!) Don't worry, once you are over it, recovery is quick. Enjoy your last few days!
