Writers, Start Your Laptops

I like November. Last year, I did NaNoWriMo and managed about 12,000 words on the novel, which falls short of the goal, but it was still the most I ever produced in one month. I was also working on some short stories, so I did manage over 25,000 total words over the month. This year, it's the same novel, but with much better writing.

I hope I see some of last year's WriMo's over at the Dublin Barnes & Noble Cafe. It was always a party, and I enjoyed being around so many other writers.

I still have most of the same obstacles to writing -- long commute, stressful job, wife, son, house. Now I am also practicing the guitar. I met with a guitar teacher today and plan to start lessons later this month. So, it's a challenge, as always. I will do my best. We'll see what happens.
