I'm going to try and start blogging more often, as I begin to write my novel again. Too much time away. Too much grappling with scenes in my head and the order of things. It starts tomorrow.

Plotting

With legal pad and pen in hand, I listed all the scenes I've been thinking about -- scenes I've scribbled on bookmarks and scraps of paper. Next I started trying to put them in some sort of logical order, and crossing off the scenes that don't belong, and resolving contradictions. There were more than a few.

Day Off

I have taken a day off work tomorrow. The plan is to get Ben off to school and then close the office door and start writing. I hope to have a rough outline of about 12 - 15 major plot points. And then, I will start writing.

People Who Need To Go Away

One small rant for a Thursday night. I drive to work on a back road through the hills of the Livermore valley. It's a two lane highway called TESLA ROAD that is mostly staright for about twelve miles, and then it becomes twitsy-turny for another 12 - 15 miles.

Here is what iritates me.

People who drive SUV's, really big pickups, vans, or cars towing trailers filled with lawn equipment. I can't see past them, they drive way too slowly, and they can't navigate the turns well. I say this. Even if you're driving a mid-size (or a Hinda Civic, like me) if you have to cross the yellow line, you need to GET YOUR IDIOT ASS BACK TO THE FREEWAY!

HAPPY FRIDAY!
