Well, I am not writing this entry from Tracy because our DSL line crashed yesterday, so I am writing it from work. Yeah, I came back from getting Ben from school to find that I had no internet, and no dial tone on the phone. I called the Phone Company (SBC, AT&T, XYZ) who said if they send someone out and s/he determines the problem is with my inside wiring, then they will charge me $55. And then the tech will discus price options for his service to fix said inside wiring problem. So, I went to the box outside the house top see if we had a dial tone there. In the rain! And we don't. So, that puts the on-us on them. But the tech can't come until Thursday. So, if you don't get email replies from me, that's why.

It's a warm but cloudy day in San Francisco today.

Today is my (blogless) friend Jake's birthday. He's 43.

My novel, though at close to 25,000 words (which includes notes to myself), is a mess of unordered scenes, but I am assured that this is okay but Jenny and Dave of my Writer's Group, and St. Martin's author, Steve Hockensmith.

The song I just heard was the LIVE version of Bryan Adams's SUMMER OF '69.

Last time I was in the Barnes and Noble cafe in Dublin (California, not Ireland), the gentleman and lady who were working the counter were talking about music, because the new CD from K.T. Tunstall (although good) was being played for roughly the 200th time. Turns out the corporate office tells them what CDs they have to play. For some reason that bothers me.

Then, the guy said if it were up to him, he'd play RYAN Adams. I thought he said BRYAN, and we talked about concerts for about four minutes before we realized we were talking about different signers.

Turns out neither the guy, or the girl, were even born yet in the Summer of '69.
