So the Golden State Warriors are in the playoffs. They're a number eight seed going up against Dallas. It's enough to make me curious and a bit happy. My neighbor, John is excited. He's the guy who ran the NCAA pool that I won.

Anyway, I don't watch the NBA much. College basketball, when I'm in a pool, that's kinda cool. But I lost too much respect for the NBA after the Ron Artest thing, and after the Kings lost to the Lakers back in the early '00s.

The Warriors go up three games to one. Against Dallas!?!? okay, maybe this is worth watching. So I turn the game on.

And it's an exciting game! The Warriors down as much as 21 points early in the game. They come back to go up by nine with minutes left in the game. Could it be? Can it happen? A huge upset?

Nah, I knew it wouldn't happen. The game was in Dallas. If the Warriors are going to upset, it's going to be in Oakland.

It wasn't to be. Dallas won the game. So the upset could still happen, when the series comes back to Oakland.

And the Stephen Jackson reminds me what's really wrong with the NBA. And his response: "I guess I'm still bein' singled out."

Yeah, right!
