I am hoping some of my readers are still checking this thing, even though I haven't blogged in a long, long time. Thanks, for remembering.

Some ranodm thoughts...
  1. Time seems to be going by way too quickly. Septmber is almost over. 2007 is almost over. The '00 decade is almost over. Each year seems to pass with more speed than the last. I guess that comes with age. It gets harder to find "moments" to enjoy, but I think we have to try.
  2. I don't seem to talk to friends much. I'm busy, they're busy. It's easy to let too much time pass. We say we're not going to do it, but we do. I got an Email from Jeff the other day. I last saw Jeff last year, at our high school reunion.
  3. My father-in-law lives with us now. He's not much trouble, and it's good having him. But it's tough. I really hope I never get old. It's tough on Mary. Not so tough for Ben and I, but we try to help. The cats don't much care.
  4. Ben is trying out for Dance Company tomorrow.
  5. Work has been drastically crazy. I'm not complaining about it. Just stating fact. I am lucky to have my job. Most days, I like my job. I've had the same job for 7.5 years, and it still isn't boring. I just wish, sometimes, that I had more time for other parts of life.
  6. I can play a halfway decent F chord on the guitar now. I can almost flub my way through a few songs. I'm having a lot of trouble with B chords. I know I should practice more often. My teacher, Tom, and my friend, Matt, both say I've gotten past several points where people get frustrated and quit.
  7. I'm fighting a cold/cough/sinus infection -- my first since last December, which is probably a record. Biaxin is a wonderful thing.
  8. Writing has been really difficult this year. Mostly, my time crunch is self-inflicted. I'm trying to do too many things with a busy job and a long commute. The word count in the novel hasn't changed. But I am nearly done transmogrifying all the paragraphs and scenes and such into 11 or 12 coherent chapters. Then, I need to plot out the rest of the book. I've discovered that I really don't know who killed Renee.
  9. Autumn in Tracy, CA is not like Autumn in other places. It has cooled off some. Today it was in the high 70's, I think. Too warm for sweats. Tonight, it's really, really windy. I know rain in coming soon.
  10. Another Martial Arts test is looming ahead. My Sensei says I wouldn't be testing if he didn't think I was ready.
  11. I don't know when we set the clocks forward. Or if we're going to be setting the clocks forward. Daylight Savings. Sheesh!
  12. I've cut down on TV. The only show I watch religiously is Survivor, because it's something Ben and I do together. He's very disappointed that Ashley was voted off.
  13. I think my fantasy team got it's asses kicked tonight. Darn you, Donovan McNabb.
  14. GO ROCKIES!!! (for Woodstock)
