Time is limited, as I am oncall this week...

I've decided to start writing about stupid people when I come across them. More often than not, I can avoid them, but there are a lot of them out there.

I've considered ways to classify stupid people, and I haven't completely thought through it, but I did come across someone that I want to write about before I forget. I'll classify this one as a NITWIT, which is someone who is in the media for an apparent talent, who says something really stupid in an interview.

On Monday, we all went to the dentist. Now, I normally NEVER look at, let alone read, PEOPLE Magazine, but when I am tired, and it's there, I will relent and browse it. It's mind numbing crap, and some times I'm in the mood to numb my mind. Like in waiting rooms. I normally read, but it's tough to get into a book or story when I know I am going to get interrupted.

Anyway, I pick up the PEOPLE, and leaf through it, trying to avoid anything about Britney, which is an effort. I come across TAYLOR DAYNE. I remember her.

You may recall she was a singer and performed some decent dancy songs. I only remember my favorite of them, which wasn't her most popular. It was called SHELTER. She had a good voice, decent musical style, and a great look.

She looks good now, at 45.

I read through the questions to see what she said about things. Some pretty silly things. This took the cake, though. They had to ask her about Britney, because there had been almost ten pages with no mention of Britney, and here's Taylor's response.

I feel for her. I didn't [get started] until 18, which is when she was almost ready to retire. But only she can repair what is going on with her. Second to the President of the United States, the hardest job in the world is being a pop star.

Pop star?!?! Give me a freaking break!!!! What about brain surgeons? Teachers?

NITWIT!

But still a good singer. Probably a good Mom, too.
