So Mia and Maika and I went to Mia's kindergarten interview today. I thought she would completely freak out.

I mean, I was told they were going to separate us and observe Mia before making a decision about taking her.

I had this vision from a Japanese tv drama of a family dressed in identical navy suits bowing together as they entered an empty, white room with three chairs in the middle.

I totally expected the worst.

But then we got there and she sat in the little chair with me behind her. When the teacher came in with the Panda puppet and told all the kids to come play with her, Mia went.

No whining, no tears, nothing.
