So we just got back from celebrating shichi go san (7,5,3) with Mia at our local shrine. Girls aged 7 and 3 and boys aged 5 put on traditional, miniature kimono and hakama pants and get a little service done for them at the shrine.

our local priest seems to favor polka dot boxer shorts. This is the second time I've seen them peaking through the mesh robe when he does one of those full-on body horizontal to the ground bows during the services.
