Oh drat. I wanted to like Sandra Schwab's Castle of the Wolf because it had all these elements I usually like: brooding, tortured hero(with one leg!) and spunky heroine, hints of magic, misunderstandings, evil brothers...

But it just didn't do it for me. As much as I hate to say this, because I HATE it when other people say this, the dialogue parts where people say "he's a loser" and "deal with it" kind of felt odd to me (yes, it threw me out of the story.)
