Interesting conversation currently happening in the above blog. Look for the "Ignore The Red Lights" comments. As you can tell, I don't know what to do with myself now that my second draft is done. I did get a very short little story polished and sent out to F&SF (The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction) today. Couldn't think of where to send it, but Seidman (my former editor at Walker) said try them. So I immediately let it sit around for a year. Anyway, it's now gone out--after reading Jim Sallis's THE GENRE KID in a recent issue, I figured only-vaguely-fantasy had a shot. I'm currently reading his (Sallis') CYPRESS GROVE, the first book I've picked up in about two months. It rocks. And I don't use that expression.
