2003-12-17 7:53 AM Cop banter My neighbor is a recently retired NYC undercover cop. He was coming in with his dog when I was on my way out of the building yesterday morning, so we yakked a little. As I left, I turned back and said: Oh--since I know you keep an eye on the place, we're going to be gone from the 19th through the 28th. People are coming to feed the cat.
He said: 'Cause you know I do ask people. What do they look like? I said: I don't know, we got a service. But if you see somebody suspicious with a can opener, they're okay. Clever line.
